Commercial Parking Lot

I have a 4160 circut running under a commercial parking lot. Under Table 300.50, Column #6, "under special conditions", it states that it requires a 24 inch deep trench. Can I use column #3 "under general conditions", with RIGID conduit, and need a trench ONLY 6 inches deep or do I have to use coloumn 6 "special conditions'. . . My inspector is telling me 24 inches instead of 6. . . Big difference. . . Thank You!!!

IMO this is the deciding factor beside of Special Conditions; (use if applicable)

Areas Subject to
Vehicular Traffic,
Such as
Thoroughfares and
Commercial Parking
Areas

I would say column 6 is applicable.

Since your conditions ( commercial parking areas ) is specified in column six and general conditions are for conditions not otherwise specified. I would say you must use column six
