When using the standard calculation method for feeders and service conductors of a commercial building such as a department store, are you suppose to assume that the building is continuous use and add a 125% to the lighting load in your calculation? I don't remember doing this when I took my exam back in 1988.

I was taught that in most cases non-residential lighting was continuous duty.

I think that lighting in a department store would be all continuous. The store will be open for 3 hours or more, right?
