I am new here and have a question on panelboard installation for a multi story building. Other then good standard practice is there a NEC requirement for a panelboard to be installed on each floor level. I am having alittle trouble finding it if it is there. Thanks ahead of time for any help I receive.

There is no such requirement. Depending on the size of the building and the number of circuits required on each floor, it is common to have a single panel serve the floor it is on, plus the floor above and the floor below. This is very common with lighting panels, and I almost always do this with emergency lighting panels.

Keep in mind, however, that if you are dealing with separate tenant spaces, each occupant has to have access to overcurrent devices that serve conductors within their spaces. Reference 240.24(B).
