Does the NEC allow common neutrals for multi-wire circuits feeding HID and/ or Fluoresent lighting? I was under the impression it was no longer allowed on HID circuits, but find it nowhere? Am I misinformed or has this changed with any codes. If it is not, what article please? Thanks, Scott

Yes you can share the grounded conductor how ever Art,410.73(G) - (2005 NEC) requires a disconnecting means on the flourescent fixtures & as per all multi wire branch circuits that share a grounded/neutral conductor the breakers are required to have listed handle ties & the grounded/neutral conductors shall be grouped with the hots in the panel. Art,408 & Art,210.4(D) - (2008 NEC)
