Does the NEC allow common neutrals for multi-wire circuits feeding HID and/ or Fluoresent lighting? I was under the impression it was no longer allowed on HID circuits, but find it nowhere? Am I misinformed or has this changed with any codes. If it is not, what article please? Thanks, Scott

MWBC's are allowed for HID and Flourescent lighting circuits and in fact, they are quite common for this.

2008 NEC. MWC's are permitted for fluorescents as prescribed in 410.130(G). See 410.130(F) for HID, but I see nothing that prohibits MWC's for HID. :)
