Hello,

I telecom install has run and installed pipe for communications and telephone wires into my electrical conduit.

I understand that according to the cord these should be separated by brick or tile.

However would it beokay for me to just completely run the communitions in pipe and pipe straight thru the manhole or is this still against code?

Jus looking for a cheaper option to runnin completely new pipe and pulling new wire for communications. Please help.

There is a electrical manhole with telecomunications wires run thru it.

My question is if this installation would be ok as per NEC if we were separate these this telecom wires from electrical wires by putting them straight thru the manhole in pvc conduit, instead of separating them in the manhole with concrete, tile or brick.

IMO If you install the telcom and the electrical each in differant PVC conduits you would be ok. There is a section on manholes in the NEC 2005 110 V.
