Complex LOTO

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to the definition of "multiple energy sources" as stated in NFPA 70E Article 120.3(a)(1).
Are 2 circuit breakers from the same panel considered 2 sources?
Would this require a complex LOTO if 2 circuits ran through a common j box?

I've never had any confusion on this:
It simplifys to:
One lock, one location, one disconnect, one crew = simple

If not that = complex

Just curious: Why would you think having the two circuits running through the common j-box would change anything?

If two or more circuits fed the same equipment, then yes, that would be considered "multiple energy sources". That would be create a need for complex LOTO.

In other circumstances "multiple energy sources" could include other types or energy (pneumatic, spring, hydraulic, gravity, etc.) but Section 120.2(D) is only considering eletrical energy.
