What is a composite labor rate

Your combined average labor rate. all your helpers, your apprentices, Journeyman, some include foreman some don't, usually just productive labor.

so if your job has 2 - helpers,that make $8.00, 2 - Apprentices - 1 @ $12.00, the other at $ 14.00 and 2 Jman 1 @ $ 23.00 and the other at $25.00.

your total is $90.00 per Hr / your number of men (6) - so your composite rate is $15.00 per hour.

so if we are running a job with 90 men....foreman/jmen/app...all you would have t do is take the rate of each and divide by three....i think..

unless all three levels make the same then no divide by the 90 men.

Yea it isn't a bad rate, was totally hypothetical for simple mathematical purposes. But to answer your question - yes just not for those rates :grin:
