When are you required to use an approved electrically conductive corrosion resistance compound on conduit thread?
Who comes up with these questions?

you are correct this is a test question.I see where you are talking about in section 300-6(a) exception. But my options for awnswers are.....
a) class I div I b) class II div I
c)on field cut threads for indoor locations
d)on field cut threads in corrosive locations.
I do not see in the above section how any of these answers relate to the given information in section 300-6(a)exception. Is my codebook just outdated? I am using NEC 1999

The section was completely re worded in the ?02 code. It makes more sense as an answer to your question. The last sentence states ?Where corrosion protection is necessary and the conduit is threaded in the field, the threads shall be coated with an approved electrically conductive, corrosion-resistant compound.?
It does state that in the ?99. Just not as clearly.
