I have a computer rated for a classified environment. It's just like any other computer, except the power supply is external to the computer. (Similar to a laptop) The computer needs to be installed in the classified space and is over 100' from an unclassified area. Can I put the power supply in a Nema 4 enclosure? If so, what about the 120V receptacle inside the Nema 4 enclosure? Does it need to be rated for a Class II, Div. 2 area?

My idea is to route threaded IMC conduit with 120V to the N4 enclosure. Install a standard 120V receptacle in the enclosure and place the power supply inside the enclosure. Then route the 24VDC cable on the output of the power supply, through IMC conduit, to the threaded connection on the computer. Anyone see problems with this?

Thanks.

I am going to assume the computer and power supply are suitably listed for Class II, Division 2, and the appropriate Group and T-Code. I further assume all associated receptacles and attachment plugs meet the requirements of 501.145(B) and the cables meet 502.140. That said, go for it.
