If you want to draw control circuits, take a look at The Constructor. Not only can you draw circuits, you can simulate and run them after you draw them to check out your design.

The constructor is good for PLC programs.
However for a more complete program, I use and like Visio Professional. Its much easier to use than a CAD program. You make "stencils" for each component, and save them in different groups-ie riser, motor control, etc. Then drag and drop on to your drawing. You can insert MS word and excel documents, pictures and other objects.

The constructor is good for PLC programs.
I have never used it for that...only for hardwired motor control circuits.
