Concrete encased ground rod

I’m building a detached garage and the sub panel will be inside the building . The inspector told me I can install the ground rod inside and even cover with concrete if I have an approved connector for such an application.
My question is what connector is okay to be encased in concrete , mechanical, crimped or thermoseld ?
