condensate pump outlet

im using a single recpt for condensate pump in basement. does it have to be gfci?

The receptacle has to be GFCI protected not necessarily a GFCI receptacle.

I had time to kill so I checked Graingers, they show 3 or 4 - 230 volt models, of course that does not mean they are in stock and as easy to get as the 25 120 volt models they have.

HVAC guy usually supplies condensate pump all we usually do is provide an outlet for it. It is easier and less hassle and likely cost less or about the same to just install the GFCI than to get them to install a 240 volt model.
