Condominium water bond.

Hi, kinda dumb question but, if you're doing a sub panel swap on a condominium unit, does the water pipe need to be bonded to the sub panel?
 
Thanks for the response. Can you go into a little more detail. The reason I ask is I just did a panel replacement and the customer said the other quote she had wanted to install a water bond to her water heater. Now, I've never thought that was necessary before on a condo. But, just wondering if they knew something I didn't know...

what water pipe are you asking about?

if you are asking about the water pipe feeding the hot water heater it is bonded by the EGC.
 
No, I meant the bond to the copper water pipe. The water heater is electric and is grounded.

Are you asking about a Grounding Electrode or simply bonding the water piping per 250.104?
