No he's not, he's asking foa a "reason" not to use a 30 amp OCPD on a # 12 and your vague answer left alot to be desired. The question was not really vague but it is obviously a study question given the fact that the OP is a student.He's asking about the applications where you can not use a 30A breaker with #12.
