Conductor coating

Are you asking about a coating on the conductor itself or the insulation ??
 
Chapter 9 Table 8 lists resistance values for coated and uncoated conductors but I wasn't aware of any coating other than enameled wire for magnets and motors or tinned copper for easier soldering.
 
It goes back to the old days when conductors used rubber insulation. Copper and rubber are natural enemies to the manufacturers coated the copper with a light coating of tin to keep the peace between the two.
