Conductor Description

3/C - Three conductors (1 "wire" with 3 inner conductors)

3-1/C - Three single insulated conductors (3 "wires")

Or something like that! Not totally positive on the first, as I rarely see that nomenclature.

I need help with conductor descriptions. what's the difference between:

3/C and 3-1/C?

3/C = A three conductor cable. Typically it would be 3/C w/EGC.
3 -1/C = Three single conductors.

We use tray cable in raceways quite a bit.
