When single conductors are installed [triplexed or another configuration] in a cable tray installation when the conductors enter the equipment is there a certain type of connector or fitting required? Or are these installed thru a small piece of conduit? If you use conduit how would you seal the conduit? I came across a detail today that indicated conductors triplexed in a cable tray but am curious how these will terminate when connected to a piece of equipment?:?

No Jacket..

No Jacket..

Joe, thanks however there is not outer or "overall jacket" it is three conductors installed in a triplex arrangement or even in a twisted arrangement, without an overall jacket when these conductors are installed in tray and the tray terminates near the equipment not sure what type of fitting is required to maintain a seal in the conduit? I did some searching around but could not come up with anything....Curious what type of fittings are typically used in that application..

No it's, not a classified space, I just assumed any opening into a piece of switchgear should be sealed to prevent from dust / water ingress of anything really, even if not code required, good practice?

OK, I understand. Most wire entries into a panel really just provide support and strain relief, unless you are looking at the compression seal around SO type cables.
Your use of "seal" had me confused.
PS: make sure you bring all three wires through one opening if they are a three phase power circuit.
