They cannot be white, natural gray, or any of the green combinations. Reidentification at the ends is allowed under some circumstances and some conductor sizes.
Which of these are you looking for.

There are no restrictions on the re-identification of ungrounded conductors of any size, other than you can't use the colors that are reserved for the grounding and grounded conductors as ungrounded conductors. (there are a few exceptions)
 
There is no color code for ungrounded conductors in the code book. We do usually use the same color code on every jobsite we go to, but it is all in the specs or the AHJ.

If you are talking about grounded conductors then, yes, it must be continuous white, continuous grey, have tracers, etc. (I don't have my code book right now, but I want to say it is article 200.6)
