In the 2008 NEC code book what is the code, chapter or sub chapter that discuss's solid wire versus stranded wire when making a connection at a screw terminal as on a light switch or similar device?:roll:

There is no such requirement. What brought up the question?

You are required to follow the listing of the device. Most devices are listed for solid or stranded conductors up to #10 AWG when using the binding screw.

I agree and also believe the UL white book says all device rated up to 30 amps must take both stranded and solid copper conductors.
