I have to quote adding a branch circuit that feeds a residential outdoor outlet. The 1-way ckt distance is 150ft, and the receptacle will be 20A (GFCI) with a 20A breaker in the load center. Using Southwire calculator, with 123V source voltage, 12AWG conductor, and 150ft length, the voltage drop is calculated as 7.3%, and 114V at load, with an assumed 15A current draw. With 12A draw it is 5.9% and 115.8V. Would you quote 12AWG or upsize to 10AWG? The outlet will be just for convenience, may be used for small yard tools occasionally.

Since this is just a convenience receptacle I would use #12 unless they're willing to pay for #10's.

150' may be pushing the limit for probable GFCI nuisance tripping due to normal capacitive leakage current.
