We are installing security cameras in a large warehouse. My guys used the 3/8 " all thread that is supporting the 2" water fire suppression throughout the warehouse to secure the siamese shielded cable with zip ties. Is this wrong?
 
No, not from the NEC aspect. As long as the strap does not damage the cable.
The fire marshal may object, however.
