Where in the NEC does it discuss Conduit attachment to Unistrut (horizontal overhead runs)? Generally we install all conduit on top of the Unistrut, but at one time this was only required in ?earth quake? zones. I believe it?s now a requirement for any conduit / Unistrut installation but I can?t find a reference in the code.

You won't find that requirement in the NEC.
The NEC does not regulate how unistrut is installed it just requires that conduit be secured and supported.
