Conduit Body Fill for PVC

I have a job where I am pulling wires through a 2" PVC conduit to a detached garage and I've been trying to find some information on the wire fill capacity for a 2" PVC LB. When I try to access the info from the Carlon website it won't download properly. Can anyone tell me what the maximum wire size and number of wires is that can be pulled through this LB? I know they usually have the info marked on the inside of them but I don't have one here with me and was wondering if anyone knows this info? Thanks.
 
Augie, that is the link that I tried to access earlier and everytime I click on it, it says the page can't be downloaded by the viewer......I'm sure that it contains the info I need but it will not download for some reason. Are you able to access it from your compuiter? Maybe it's just my computer acting up?
 
I don't see this as a problem. conduit lb's are designed to accept what ever wire the conduit can accept. But I have been wrong before.

Afraid not. As shown above. Most are marked and there are charts available from mfgs, showing allowable conductor capacity.
Pulling (3) 500's in a 2-1/2" standard Form LB will show the point of the restriction.

Read 314.16(C)(2). It is specific in saying that for splices, taps and devices that the conduit body has to be marked by the manufacturer with the cubic inches to be able to install splices, taps and devices.

No they are not. The size of the LB must comply with 314.28(A)(2) or the fitting must be factory marked for the maximum number and size of conductors per 314.28(A)(3).

With all due respect to Carlon, that may be the method used to figure out the maximum size and number of conductors that can be installed in the LB, you are not permitted to do the calculation. The code clearly requires in 314.28(A)(3) that the fitting be listed for, and be permanently marked with, the maximum number and maximum size of conductors permitted.

I wasn't sure it applied to all....however, the conduit body only list one type wire ie: XHHW. Unless you have one of the mfgs. handy guides, you have to calculate, using the area of the wire listed compared to the area of the wire you are installing. Thats why, in the example I quoted from Carlon's site
it was (3) 3/0 XHHW (marked on condulet) which calculates out to be equal to 2.42 THHW (their math). I am not sure what goes into the decision by the mfg. (volume/wire bending radius, etc.), you may know. I agree the basic "rule" is determined by the required marking on the conduit body. Different wire fills and types will require fun calculations.

I mentioned once before ina similar thread, that this does not seem to be enforced by many inspectors. What is your experience on enforcement?

As far as inspection/enforcement, most LBs are already closed when an inspection is performed. Our company does not open any items. Sometimes though we may see the LB open/cover missing ;) then we can see

You don't open panel boxes???? How can you inspect a job without opening items?
