Can I install 3-1/0 3/C cables in a 4" RGS conduit for a 300 hp motor? Or will there be issues with heat generated in the conduit?

No, your wire is too small for that application. Assuming a 3 phase 480 volt motor, you would need conductors with an ampacity of 451 amps. Your proposed installation has an ampacity of 357 amps.
