You find the diameter of the cable you are using, then calculate the area and use the information in Chapter 9 Tables 1 and 4.Hi,
I was looking for some information on how to size conduit for Cat 6 cable. Does anyone have an literature on this or how to do it. I am very familiar with sizing conduit for standard conduits with the values in chapter 9.
Thank you.You find the diameter of the cable you are using, then calculate the area and use the information in Chapter 9 Tables 1 and 4.
Also some manufactures of those types of cables have instructions that specify a maximum conduit fill, and those often show less cables than was the Chapter 9 calculations would permit.

Since they don't appear to be referenced in article 725, I am not sure this is required, although it is probably as good a place to start as any.
They make special ducts to carry such cables. They might be a better choice than standard conduit.
