does anyone know of a "standards" site for Texas that addresses spacing of conduit from process piping/flanges, fire water sysem piping,etc.?i was taught 2-4-6, 2" from fws, 4" from flanges, 6" from piping. our pipe qc wants to know if this is documented installation standard --- i don't know.

I dont know of any standard, not even in NECA standards. That would be a installation standard written in the contract documents, or facility installation standards.

I've done a few gas turbine generators in texas. In order to run your conduit you had very tight spaces with all the other piping, and flanges. The only thing you could do was make sure the flanges were accessible for maintenance, 1" away was not uncommon and we had all sorts of inspectors, no one had a problem with this. I never heard of any "standards" on the matter. Does'nt mean there's not, just never heard a peep out of anyone.
