Conduit Requirements?

I am designing an electronic device for use in an industrial application. In general, I realize that any line-voltage power and/or signal wires must be contained in metal conduit.

In my application, I have a two-conductor cable that will see a variable voltage of between 15VAC and 115VAC, with a maximum VA power of 0.2W.

Is conduit still necessary, or is there a way around that expense and complication?

Direct answers can be sent to stevens@netw.com

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Just a few comments here,

I realize that any line-voltage power and/or signal wires must be contained in metal conduit.
why?

I have to agree with Bennie here.

Just exactly how much conduit, what size, and what type would be that much expense and complication for an experienced eletrican to install?
