Conduit Runs

If you had 7 or 8 poke thrus in same general vicinity( the are the circles with the 4) with conduit running on floor below(vacant empty floor below) and you had to run direct conduit homeruns from each poke thru to same panel would you:

1. Poke up at nearest column and run the rest on the floor your working on or would you run all on floor below to electrical closet location and poke up there? I'd imagine nearest column.
2. Chop out area of the slab to turn up the conduit from the floor below and not do 7-8 separate core drills?

For me the nearest column. Conduits run in an empty space seem to always be in the way when that space gets finished. I would run the least amount of conduit in the empty space.
