Say an EMT is supported within three feet of a junction box, another run joins the paralell path. Can the other run be supported with a piece of unistrut and two clamps from the first conduit.

I think that your post of 300.11(B) answers your own question. IF you want support as to what it means, I will say that supporting one conduit from another conduit is generally not permitted.
