The hanger wire supporting the conduit is attached to the underside of the deck above. The hanger wire is 4 feet long. The contractor used a reddi-clip to secure the conduit to the hanger wire, about 2 inches from the end of the 4-foot long hanger wire. Does this installation meet 2005 NEC 300.11?

What about a 1/4" threaded rod 4' long with a mini on the end, thats a sturdy as some of that old ceiling tie wire. Id consider the rod fine so why not the tie wire?
