Conduit Support

What is a clevis type clamp?

You can pretty much support conduit with anything as long as the AHJ approves it.

If you mean what I think you mean, I would not accept clevis type clamps, as they are not designed for pipe support. Others may.

I am curious, why not use some type of pipe strap/hanger?

That is why I mentioned, "if you mean what I think".

That is not what we call a clevis here.
I do see those hangers, used mostly for plumbing here.

So why wouldn't that be ok for electrical conduit?
Pipe is pipe.
