Conduit support

Is there an electrical code or building cod stating that other trades can't support their equipment or conduit off of other trade supports ? if so what code and article.

None that I'm aware of.

The support, if able to carry the additional load, should be ok to use, might not make the other tradesperson happy though.

There is no code that prohibits using the supports of other trades to support electrical equipment provided that the supports are adaquate to support the additional weight.

What about sprinkler pipe supports/hangers. NFPA 13 9.1.1.7

There are also some requirements for not using the ceiling grid support wires for electrical.

To get a good answer, you might have to be more specific about which trades we are talking about.

And I assume I don't need to mention that using another trades supports (unistrut for example) can be very different than hanging from an actual pipe or conduit.

You are correct, I wasn't thinking about fire sprinkler pipes.
