Conduit supports from a termination - is there a minimum distance to count?

I know that in general, most non-flexible raceways require conduit being supported within 36" of a termination as a maximum. Is there a minimum distance for this as well? Or is it simply as close as you can get, without crashing your strap against your fittings?

The example would be a sweep immediately adjacent to the enclosure terminations whose total length exceeds 36". The easiest place to strap the sweep is on the straight tangents, where it could be just an inch away from the termination, offering little contribution to the mechanical "beam" performance of the conduit. But is this too close to the termination to be effective?
