I have an installation where we ran conduit 5 1/2" above a lower roof surface and then continued to run vertically to a higher roof level. Attached along the way using 1 5/8" unistrut mounted directly to masonry running 30' vertically up an east facing wall. Am I correct that since we are less than 3 1/2" off of the masonry wall exposed to direct sunlight we will need to use the 22 degree temperature adder per 310.15(B)(2)(c) or am I legal to use the 17 degree temperature adder?
