Condutor Bundling

When running Romex wire homeruns to a panel, I usually bundle 8 to a stack it and space the stack its two feet apart. I feel this provides a neat work like manner appearance. The stack its wire holders hold two Romex?s per slot, total of 8 wires in a bundle. Is this procedure the proper way of running cables with out worrying about derating of cables??? Or should this be avoided. The code 310.15 exception #5 says that if not more than 20 carrying conductors are bundled derating shall not apply. Is this true? Please help.

Exception 5 only applies to MC cables - but it is useful in determining a definition for "bundling", since up to now none has been given.

If you look closely at the packaging of most Stack-It style products, they mention that derating may be required. Generally, I believe most AHJ's consider them to not be bundled, however I believe technically they are, even if you were to spread them to 4.5' apart. It's the cables running together that matters, not the frequency of support.
