Thanks for the congrats. Pretty amazing to hit the magic number. Maybe I should play the lottery this week.
I was referred to the Forum from another one that I visit regularly - one devoted to woodworking - www.woodworking.org The common thread there is all things woodworking, which includes setting up your shop. Folks periodically ask electrically related questions and the level of detail in the answers reveals that there are several active members who are working electricians, some in heavy industrial environments. That lead me to ask a question about putting a wiring "trench" in the concrete floor of a house I'm getting ready to build. One response suggested I ask the question here here, which I did (and posted in the NEC forum and complete with an intriguing response from you). Since it's only been one day since I joined, I can't say that it's had a big impact on my life, but in fact scanning the forums has revealed this to be quite a font of info as well as a good way to test my electrical knowlege. By reading question's posed by others and the responses, I can gauge where I'm on top of things and where I'm deficient."
