I want to attach a hooter with a (panel mounted) digital ammeter so that as soon as current passes limit (set by me) it sounds up and i may decrease load.
For this I simply connected a 230V rated input hooter to a NO output relay contact of ammeter which was also rated for 220-240V ( I think NO contact will close down when current will exceed and hence hooter will sound ).
Now when current exceeds, meter's 'Fault LED' lights up but hooter does nothing. Perhaps I'm wrong or oversimplifying connections of hooter with output contact of meter?
Kindly guide me
