If I connect an old CSED to a new sub panel with a metal raceway (less than 24") and I run feeders to my sub panel and then the branch circuits back from the sub panel in the same raceway is there a need to run my grounded conductors along with my feeder and branch ungrounded conductors, I know 300.3(B) but this scenario is similar to a switch loop whereas the problem of heating through induction should not be an issue, am I correct? Thank you all

Ok help me out what is CSED?
Combination service entrance device, it's an old Square D XO panel with a meter, so the breakers and meter in one enclosure. It has one 20A dbl pole and two 15A sing pole, I want to replace them with a 50A 2 pole and run a couple of 6 ga feeders to a new 6 space 12 circuit sub panel and then install new homeline breakers and run my branch circuits back into the old panel through the same conduit as the feeders, the code says I need to run my neutrals with the ungrounded conductors but won't having the branch and feeder conductors in the same raceway accomplish the same effect as 300.3(B)?
