Hello everyone.

I have a non-metallic raceway (3/4", PVC Sch40) installed outdoors, buried underground, and it needs to rise above grade and continue its path along the surface of an exterior wall. What is the proper way to transition from a PVC conduit to an EMT conduit, as per NEC instructions? Should I mount a pullbox on the wall? If so, what type of box should it be? I just cant find the right section in the NEC. Any assistance on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

some people here are going to say the connector isn't listed for that, but I just put a female adapter on the PVC and then an EMT connector, viola!

Thanks a lot Strathead, the female adapter will work for me.
Nonetheless, I still need to know if the NEC has any section that can clarify this topic. o_O

Be sure your EMT is grounded and metal box grounded if you use it. If you use a nonmetallic box, put a grounding bushing on the EMT connector

A C-condulet could be used if you could come up with a way to bond it.

Yes, I know this job has been done. I just like to keep the conversation going.
I know this is off topic, but got me to thinking, I wonder why form 7 fittings never come with a bonding screw.

Did you forget a rigid coupling or are you putting in a pull box?

For extra fun, lets assume this needs to be raintight. I give you:

Your turn. What if I need larger than 1"?
On a side note, the SP flyer for Quik duct spacers Qwik duct is using my email as a testimonial and pictures from a project I did in Gainesvill Florida as the picture. I am kin of proud, so I am bragging.

FYI, the NEC doesn't generally offer what you are looking for. It isn't an installation guide and they take care not to tell you HOW to accomplish something. They tell you the required electrical and/or mechanical result, but how you achieve it is as open as it can be for them.

I have sometimes drilled & tapped a consult for a ground screw.
