250.56 describes when an additional elelctrode is required (1st one more than 25 ohms). Is it permissible to connect the additional electrode to the first electrode or is it necessary to run a new grounding electrode conductor to the second electrode??

Re: Connections to grounding electrode

It is permissible to add a second clamp to the primary electrode and run a new piece of wire to the supplementary electrode.

Or, you do not need to run an entirely new GEC to accomodate the additional electrode.

As long as the GEC is continuos to the first electrode, you are permitted to add jumpers from that electrode to other electrodes.

I hope that helps. :)
