I have a customer with several construction trailers. They requested a minimum 60 amp Pin and Sleeve inlet connection at the trailer.
I was going to provide a 60 amp 3 pole 4 wire 125/250 volt inlet receptacle on the trailer. They also request that I provide (2) cord connectors with 50 foot cable. One for a company owned generator connection and one with open wiring to connect to a utility disconnect. (Depending on the site).
In reading the NEC Article 550.10, it states that (Mobile Homes) can be connected with a 40 amp or 50 amp power cord only. Anything larger must be permanently connected.
Is this only for mobile homes, since there is a standard at mobile home parks that need this specific connection?
Or since it is a construction trailer, can I install the pin and sleeve at 60 amps?
Thanks
