Consultant for class1 div1 fuel injector test bench

Hi,

i am from Germany and my company is building test benches for fuel components like fuel injectors or pumps. We have done a lot of explosion proofed machinery for the European market, but now we have to make a bench for a company in the US and it will be installed into a class1 div1 envirement. (that's a real challenge....)

In order to avoid not to get the fire marshal's approval and to avoid to make expensive modifications after delivery, we would like to get assistance during the engineering phase and also a preinspection of the bench here at our facilities in Germany before delivery.

So i am looking for a company/inspector/expert for class 1 div1 requirements that is working as a consultant and which we can engage for this work.

I would appreciate if i could get some recommendations.

Several CENELEC third-party certifiers have close relations with US domestic Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL). TUV and SEMKO come to mind. In my opinion, SEMKO has the stronger position with regard to equipment to be used in Classified locations.
