I’ve used a couple of contact cleaners when I was working as an industrial electrician. Never had much faith in them. So here is my question. I have an ATV where the electrical center.....battery, relays, and a computer are located..had a family of mice living in it. The “corrosion” didn’t seem to intrude into the. Connectors but I have it all tore apart and want to use some kind of cleaner to be safe. It’s my personal atv so electrical problems on the trail would give my buddies ammo...

Input?
thanks

I always used CRC brand on the motorcycles, atvs and jet skis I owned/fixed.

"CRC QD contact cleaner is a unique blend of petroleum-distillates and alcohol which provides a suitable precision cleaner for sensitive electronics. It is a cost effective alternative to all contact cleaners. It Evaporates quickly and leaves no residue and is safe to use on all plastics."

Pretty sure I've used the same thing on brake rotors and calipers to rid them of pad dust, never had a problem with the stuff eating the rubber on the caliper bolt covers or the piston seals.

and yikes, it's been a decade+ since I bought any, last can I got I think was $7.99 retail??

safe on electrical gear. No idea why amazon is $11 a can more expensive - that's ridiculous
