Contact voltage ratings

Yes, I’m supposed to be retired.
Noticed yesterday a Schneider TDR output contacts were switching a 480 volt coil on a size 4 PP. I had more urgent items so i put it on the back burner. I’ve only seen it once before on a cube relay that apparently had worked for years.
Slight hum on the pp starter.. Guessing we will eventually put in an interposing relay. Would a suppresion device on the coil help in the meantime?
 
Educate me ! Why would the interposing relay be needed. The TDRs we use have a 10 or 12 amp contact rating.
 
A Schneider is what they have. The contacts are rated for 240 volt operation, not 480.
Yes, but if you go to the accessory page, there is a 70-750E8-1 that is rated for 600 volts. I'm just not sure how the parts go together.
