Good Morning Friends, I ran across an installation during an inspection where the EC had installed -3- 2pole definite purpose relays for lighting control. My question is "Does this require a testing labs listing" Because this is a "field assembled" part does it even require a listing if the box is listed and the relays are listed. Thanks ! Lyle

There is nothing requiring this to be listed as an assembly.

It certainly seems to be an industrial control panel as defined by article 409. Does the code require a listing for industrial control panels?

Short of some other code section that might apply to this particular installation that might require listing for that installation, my answer is the NEC does not require listing.
