my boss just told me that i could investigate some areas that would benifit our company as far as some continuing education.

wondering what would be a good source for info.

i'm especially thinking of a grounding, shielding seminar and prehaps a working with electricity safey course,

we work at a large manufacturing/research facility
(industrial setting)

wondering what was out there and what has worked for other people thanks for any input.

clayton.

Re: continuing education seminar

clayton,
I think it's great that your employer is willing to invest into your future.Continuing education is always a must in any of the Electrical related, and job safety fields..

I have a NFPA seminar 2005 schedule flyer, on my desk that gives discription, of what you could be looking for.

Log onto www.nfpalearn.org

Check and see if anything interest you that might be coming somewhere near to your location..

good luck..

Re: continuing education seminar

To: clayton, my advice for you to become an assest to your company would start with learning the National Electrical Code.
After you have learned the basic rudiments of the NEC, then you could go into specific articles, such as the following: Article 430 Motors, Article 230 Services.
If you have a electrical hazardous area in your company, you then would study the Articles 500, 501,etc.
Also, what is coming on strong is Electrical Safety, NFPA, 70E. It would be a benefit for your company if you made yourself knowledgeable about NFPA 70E.
