Being an old guy (77 this year) I remember that the NEC gave a definition for a "continious conduit system". Basically it said a conduit system is comprised of conduit, boxes, sleeves, etc. I don't see that definition in the 2020 or 2023. So, what do you all consider a continious system? Some say when any box or junction point is added, that makes the conduit non-continious. Sounds logical but thats so different than before

To me, continuous means run from box to box for individual conductors, as opposed to a sleeve for a cable.

An additional box mid-run does not alter that. You might say that it alters the quantity of continuous runs.
