"Continuous Duty"

Nice to be here again!
My username used to be just "Dibloafer"
I haven't been on the website in a while and when I tried to log-in it wouldn't let me log-in with my old creds, so I had to make a new account.

Tell me this NEC definition could not be copied and pasted to the English dictionary as a definition for "parenting" :

"Operation at substantially constant load for an indefinitely long time"

(I have four young children)

I think the NEC also defines "continuous" as 3 hours or more, whereas parenting lasts 18 years or more in most cases...

We've homeschooled for 21 years. If you've had the kids around the house their entire lives instead of using the public babysitting system (no judgment there), it's not so bad. Not saying there haven't been moments where you'd want to kick their tails.....

I wasn't complaining by any means. For the first time, I looked at the NEC definition and thought it was very appropriate (and funny) when applied to parenting (many children)
