Can continuous loads be derated as per table 220.11, table 220.13, 220.18, 220.19, 220.20, 220.32 and if not what article(s) tells us not to?

Re: Continuous Loads

A load is never derated. The load numbers are increased when calculating for over 3 hours of in use continously.

The ampacity of a conductor is reduced to reflect the increase in load as per calculation.

To determine wire size, add 25% to the actual connected load.

To determine permitted load, deduct 20% from the ampacity of the conductor.
